Uzbekistan Plans US$50 Million in Tourism Projects Across Six Mountain Villages

On 22 October, Uzbekistan announced plans for US$50 million in tourism development projects across six villages in Kashkadarya Region, including mountain and sports tourism, which will require environmental planning and sustainable destination management. Officials were instructed to prepare master plans within a month, with projects expected to begin in March 2027; the US$50 million is the announced programme value, not a disclosed environmental-services contract, and HPC can support environmental data analysis, resource monitoring and sustainability reporting.
