Ghana’s Proposed Jomoro Petroleum Hub Carries a US$28 Billion Investment Value

A project agreement signed on 19 October by Ghana’s Petroleum Hub Development Corporation and a consortium led by UAE-based Global Sphere covers the second phase of the proposed Jomoro Petroleum Hub, with a stated value of US$28 billion. Plans include a refinery capable of processing 300,000 barrels per stream day, two petrochemical plants, storage capacity of four million cubic metres and a multi-berth jetty; financing remains to be secured, so the figure is a planned development value rather than completed expenditure, while HPC can support project analytics and operational modelling.
