Sri Lanka Moves Forward With Proposed Public-Private Partnership Legislation

On 20 October, the Cabinet approved publication of a draft Public-Private Partnership Bill in the Government Gazette before submission to Parliament. The proposed framework aims to establish a national agency and formal procedures for identifying, evaluating and implementing PPP projects; no bill-specific contract price was disclosed.
